. Kaylie's POV:
Adam and I are playing in his room with Danna when we hear a knock on the door. "Come in!" I shout. The white door opens, revealing the handsome face of Lucas standing there with his arms outstretched, a sign for me to hug him. I hesitate slightly, aware that Danna is sitting right beside me.
"Go and hug Lucas. He must be missing you after not sleeping with you last night," Danna says, smiling understandingly. I nod and quickly jump into Lucas' embrace as he whispers, "I miss you."
"I miss you too," I reply.
Lucas then walks towards Adam and picks him up, saying, "Your grandpa sent me to fetch you, little boy. He also wants Kaylie and Mom to come back to the Red Sapphire Pack."
"Oh... so we're going to the Red Sapphire Pack instead of Ted coming to pick me up?" Danna
