Nayana The tension in the car feels unbearable. The air is thick, the silence heavier than words could ever be. Leo drives like he owns the road, his hand steady on the wheel of his Lambo, his expression unreadable. The low hum of the engine fills the space between us, but it only reminds me how close we are and how far apart we feel. I keep my gaze on the passing lights outside, pretending to admire the city. My heart, though, has a mind of its own. It’s beating too fast like it’s trying to escape. I don’t even know why I let him take me home. Maybe I just didn’t want to argue again.
