  A week in captivity feels like a year.   I don't understand how Faylinn survived fifteen years in the hands of someone else. Well, I kind of do. They bring us food every few days, and we've got bottles of water Faylinn refills from the sink. Other than that, they've left us alone so far. I've spent most of this time curled up on the bed, too tired to do much of anything. Faylinn, on the other hand, despite the lack of food, does push-ups and sit-ups twice a day, every day.   "The exercise, that's how you got through this before?"   She stands up from the floor space between the beds and sits on the edge of her mattress, sweat beaded across her skin. "It helped.
