Kendra’s POV I swallowed hard, still stunned by the sheer volume of silk and sparkle. My voice came out quieter than I intended. “This is… a lot.” Fiona turned, one brow lifting like she hadn’t heard me right. “What do you mean?” “It’s just… too much,” I said, glancing around the room again. “It’s overwhelming.” “No, no,” she waved it off, breezing past a rack of embroidery-heavy gowns. “Come here. Both of you.” She looped her arms through mine and Caleb’s, pulling us deeper into the room like we were debuting on stage. A few stylists stepped out of the way. Fiona spun on her heel and started directing traffic, her hands slicing through the air as she told everyone nonessential to get out. Scott stood near the far window, watching silently. He hadn’t said a word since I walked in. J
