Rose POV
It was a bad nightmare. I could not remember what exactly happened the previous night. Everything was a blur. From what I could grasp from my memory, Jace got home. What time - I didn’t know. He instructed me to clean up and that somehow made me sober. He made me eat dinner and, after that, I cried my heart out.
Waking up was not one of the things I was looking forward to. My heart and mind were tired. I didn’t do much physically, but my body felt tired as well. My eyes were all heavy and even when I knew I had cried out all the tears, my eyes were ready to pour out again.
Upon hearing some whining, I remembered that I had not fed Baron the previous night. Dragging myself out of my bed, the guilt of seeing Baron on the floor looking up at me was eating me.
