“I might be back late again tonight. I’m not sure what time, but I will update you.”
“Yes. Don’t worry about me.” I laughed at him. “Baron and I will be fine.”
He paused by the doorway and about to say something, but he held back.
“Did you forget something?” I was hoping he would say he forgot to say how much he loved me like a few couples in the movies.
He went back to me and gave me a sweet, wet kiss before pulling back to say, “Have a good day, angel.”
“Have a great day, hon,” I replied, feeling hot from the kiss.
He left me standing by the hall, with me watching him as he walked to his car.
