Jace looked at his watch and pulled me somewhere. I didn’t care where he would take me. I felt free as a bird. My heart was free of burdens.
Looking back at the situation we had in Alice’s office, I had admired how Jace and Alice had contained the situation. I was expecting Amber to go on a hysterical mode and still deny everything that she had done, but I was surprised when her tears started to fall. Her acting was not amusing at all and I was almost sure she would come back for us later on. However, by that time, Jace and I would be more prepared. Our relationship would be a lot stronger. I… would be a lot stronger.
“Where are we going?” I asked as I noticed we were almost running along the hallway.
