Five - Nightmares

Alana was surprised that she could hardly feel any pain in her head. She was sure she must died and gone to heaven and back, or had she just imagined it all? She let out a tiny groan, raising her hand to feel her forehead. She heard a sound. It was a low growl. It sounded like an animal. "Hello? Who’s there?” Alana asked in a tiny, scared voice. Everything was dark and she was wondering what she was doing back at the company, in front of the rest room where she'd met Lucious Heron. She heard another sound. It was a whimper. She slowly raised her hand and knocked on the door, hoping that there wasn't an issue. That she was just being unnecessarily scared. "Hello?..." She whispered again, she heard her voice echo through the walls. She looked around and in that second, the door was yanked open. She gasped and stared at Lucious Heron in horror. He had blood streaming endlessly down his eyes, nose, and ears! "You can't escape it, Alana." His deep voice boomed so hard that the whole place trembled with it. Slowly, he started walking towards her. Alana tried to let out a scream, but her voice was blocked. It was like there was a rock in her lungs that wouldn't let anything come out. Oh God please!! Alana turned and made an attempt to run, but she wasn't fast enough, for in the blink of an eye, he was in front of her. He roughly grabbed her neck and pulled her closer to him. Alana saw the blood all over his face turn to something more sinister. Something more dangerous and scary. But her brain couldn't recognize what it was. "You can't escape it!" He yelled in her face, his teeth were bared and it looked like that of a monster's. Alana finally found that scream that was stuck deep in her lungs as he descended on her. Alana woke up with a gasp. She sat up on her bed and placed her hands on her neck, where he had touched her in the dream. It was uninjured. "Thank God," She breathed in relief. "Just a dream." She couldn't understand why she had had such a nightmare, but she knew it must have meant something. She wished she could talk to Feesh, her new friend. Maybe she has the answer to- A piercing scream broke Alana from her thoughts. She looked at her window. It was coming from there. "Help!" The girl screamed again. Alana ran to her window, before slowly and carefully peeking at it. A girl was lying on the streets. It looked like she had passed or died. Alana looked closer, the girl looked a bit familiar. She looked like... Feesh!! "Oh my God!" Alana whispered in fear. Feesh was outside and she was injured! She needed to help her friend! She turned away from the window and hurriedly picked up a small torch and headed outside her room. She spared a glance at her brother's room. The door was closed and Alana saw that he was sound asleep. He was safe. Feesh wasn't. Feesh needed her help. As quietly as she could, Alana opened the door and escaped. Once she was outside, she noted that the gate was locked and she needed the key to open it. She stopped at the reception. There was no one there. She walked around and saw where the key was hanging under the table. She picked it up and hurried outside. "Feesh? Are you there?" She asked, her hand pausing on the padlock. Somewhere deep down, she knew she was scared. What if it wasn't Feesh? What if she had just been imagining things? "Yes! Help!" She answered. Alana opened the gate and stepped outside. She dropped the key by the gate and ran into the street. Feesh was not there. "Feesh? Feesh?!" There was no answer. Alana walked further along the road and looked around, but it was empty. "Oh God," Alana cried, putting her hand on her forehead. "Have I been imagining this??" "No, you haven't." A voice snarled. Alana jumped and looked up. There was no one around. The scary voice had come from the shadows. The voice of a... "Monster. You are wondering if I am a monster. And you are correct, my dear girl." The voice growled. Alana was trembling with fear. She knew she was in danger. She turned and tried to run back to her gate, when she saw that it was standing by the gate. It was dark, very dark, but Alana could make out what was there. It was a scary looking monster. It was almost as tall as the gate behind it and it had blood gushing all over its body. "Isn't this the part where you run?" With a terrified scream, Alana turned away and ran. She could hear its laughter as she ran with every strength she could gather in her. Wild tears were streaming down her and she knew she was going to die. What was happening? Why had she left her room in the first place? What had made her think that it was Feesh? Alana sobbed in horror as she realized what had happened. The monster, whatever it was, had put those illusions in her head. The nightmare, Feesh's voice, and now she was running. Running to where she had no idea of. "Help!" She wanted to yell, but it came out like a whisper. She kept running and running, till she ran out the monster's voice of evil laughter. She looked around and saw that she was the only human that was outside her house. Feesh had warned her. But like a fool, she hadn't listened. She only hoped Ben was safe. "God, please let him be safe. Please let him be safe." She silently prayed. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, holding it, hoping that the monster had lost her and had finally gone the other way. God please... She opened her eyes and came face to face with the scary-looking monster filled with blood. The creature looked like a zombie, a grey-colored one, his eyes were a pool of blood, so were his nose and ears. And he was going to eat her. She would be dead and no one would know how. "Such a young sweet blood, I will enjoy and savor you, my sweet one." The monster let its mouth open and hundreds of nail sharp teeth came out and elongated towards her. Alana tried to scream, but nothing would come out. She stood with her back against the pillar and waited for death to come, only to hear a squishing sound and a thud on the ground. She slowly opened her eyes and saw... "What the hell do you think you are doing out here tonight, Alana?!" It was Lucious Heron in flesh and an Armani suit. Unable to take in the surprise, Alana passed out. ***************
