  The Von Wald couple dressed formally for the funeral, with silence between them.   Klaus kept glancing at his wife, watching as she put on her stockings and then that black dress. Even in dark clothing, she was still the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She buttoned her shirt and looked at herself in the mirror.   Klaus walked over to her and took the comb from her hand.
