Damien woke up and saw Serenity sleeping peacefully in his arms. He smiled as he looked at her. He did feel for her, but he didn’t deserve someone like her. He also didn’t want to feel that strongly for someone that, to him, he just met. He gently slipped away from her, leaving her to rest and quietly left their room. He could hear Alex and Josh talking in the dining hall and he set his path there. He wanted some answers. He walked in and immediately pinned Josh and Alex with his eyes.
“So which one of you wants to explain to me why Serenity was up half the night afraid?” Damien raised his eyes and stared dominantly down at them.
Alex’s eyes went wide before his jaw set firmly. “I knew she seemed upset yesterday, I just thought it was about you. Is she alright? What did she say?”
