Serenity didn’t know what was happening. All of the sudden, Damien was coming towards them with haunting eyes. She saw him beginning to reach for his sword, all the while with a deadly fixation on James. Serenity knew that James and Alex would be in a bad position if they drew their sword on Damien. She didn’t have a sword….but Alex did. As Alex went to reach for his sword, Serenity pulled it out first and spun and met Damien’s sword head on.
Damien was shocked and looked forward at Serenity with disbelief. He couldn’t understand how this tiny girl managed to even lift a sword, let alone clash blades with him. It made him infuriated, how could she turn her blade against him, her king, her husband.
