"I was just kidding. Stop sulking, Noah," I rolled my eyes as the elevator wheeled us up to my apartment. I just hoped to God that Ava hasn't messed it up. That would be mortifying.
"Its not funny," He grimaced. "I can't forgive myself after last night. Stop cracking jokes about that,"
Jeez...he was actually really very serious about it. This matter, I realised was not sorted yet. And I was shocked to realise how disappointed I was at that. But I quickly masked it with a smile as I squeezed his hand tightly. That didn't seem to do much to cheer him up though.
Ava was just locking the door, all dressed up as the doors opened and she seemed surprised to see Noah with me. She gave us both a smile and I narrowed my eyes at her. Where was she going all dressed up like that?
