My feet instantly backtracked wanting to escape from my ex-mate’s prying eyes but Rozen’s suspicious stare kept me frozen on the ground.
If I suddenly run off, Rozen will definitely think that something is wrong and it will take only a matter of time before he learns everything. He already doubted me before. It will be easier for him to confirm his apprehensions against me.
