I arrive at the neutral zone clearing where Magnus waits with his warriors. The moon is full overhead, casting silver light through the trees. This feels like the perfect night to officially cut all ties with my past.
"Daniel," Magnus greets me. "I trust you have news to share."
"I do. And a proposal that might interest you."
Magnus raises an eyebrow. "I'm listening."
I take a breath before speaking. "Ashley Rivers wants to join our cause. She's my girlfriend, and she's been working to undermine Aria from within the pack, spreading rumors and questioning Aria's role."
Magnus looks intrigued. "That's an interesting development."
"Yes. Ashley believes she can get closer to Aria than I ever could. She knows Aria's habits, her weaknesses, her daily routines."
