I wake up and saw that Kael was already dressed for the day. He's standing by the window, looking out over the pack territory with that worried expression he's been wearing a lot lately.
"Morning," I say, sitting up slowly. The nausea hits immediately, but it's not as bad as yesterday.
He turns and his face softens when he sees me awake. "How are you feeling?"
"Tired. A little sick. The usual."
"Do you need anything? Water? Food?"
"Just a minute to wake up properly."
He comes over and kisses my forehead. "Octavia will be here in about twenty minutes. She's your new guard, remember?"
"I remember." I agreed to this yesterday after forgetting to take a guard to the warehouse. It still feels strange to have someone following me around all day, but I understand why it's necessary
