Samika's POV
I stare at the morning skies. It's been a while since I woke up. I usually start my day with my wolf run but without Devon, it's different. And I didn't want to shift and run and leash out the beast inside me. She is already being a b***h and I don't want it to carry on for the entire day.
I wonder what Devon is up to. We can't communicate through mindlink because the distance between us is too much. We can do so only inside a pack land. He is in another territory, for God Sake.
I take a quick shower and throw layers of clothes on me before walking out. Gladys is back to work and the scent of familiar warm coffee fills my nostrils and I sit there at the counter and watch her pour coffee for me from the pot.
