I jolted awake when someone called my name and shook my shoulder. Ms. Leah was leaning over me as I lay on the sofa.
“Miss Madison, I’m sorry to wake you. How are you feeling?” She asked as I sat up, blinking, trying to get my bearings.
“I’m okay,” I mumbled. My neck did feel better, and sitting up didn’t hurt as much as it did this morning when I awoke. “Where is Titus?”
“He went out with Miss Raelyn today. Alpha Barrett instructed me to let you sleep. He mentioned you had a cold?” She felt my forehead. “No, fever. That’s a good sign,” she smiled.
“Thanks. I am feeling better. What time is it?” The sun was shining through the curtains, so it was still early in the day.
