(Nisha) I was grasping Cameron’s hand. I wasn’t sure if it was more nerves or excitement, but I couldn’t sit still as we drove to Pete’s place. Cameron let me call him and ask him when would be good to visit, and he practically begged us to come as soon as we could. The dust kicked up under the tires as we pulled into Pete’s place. It felt like home now. I was comfortable here, even though it was still unfamiliar. It was my uncle’s home. Pete was out of the house before we even stopped, the screen door banged as he rushed as fast as he could down the steps. I scrambled out, fumbling with the door, and I rushed into his arms.
