Being back in the pack felt like I had never left at all. People were gracious to me, while a few gave me strange looks. I guess they didn't understand why their alpha brought me back. Walking towards the backyard, I saw Miss Nadia talking to someone. Seeing me, she gave me the biggest smile I didn't expect and rushed to hug me.
I hugged her reluctantly.
" You're back!" she said with enthusiasm.
" I am. It's good to see you again, Miss Nadia," I said. She cupped my face.
" I'm most happy to see you too, sweetheart," she said. She hugged me again.

" Is everything alright?" I asked. We exchanged pleasantries and made small talk. She told me about a promotion she was having at her company, and we'd like me to be part of it.
