Sebastian walked in quietly.
He sat down at the edge of the bed, gently cupped his kids' cheeks and said in a low voice, "I wanted to remarry because Ryan needs someone to take care of him."
Mrs. Richards' eyes filled with tears. She opened her mouth, then closed it again.
She just couldn't figure out why Sebastian was holding everything in-why he wouldn't tell Elaria the truth about the accident, about his crushed arm, about Ryan's illness. If he had opened up, maybe they could've stayed a family, and Ryan wouldn't have to deal with a stepmother.
