(Damian) I pulled out my phone and called my secretary. “Lilith,” I said when she answered. “Yes, Mr. Blackwood?” “I’m bringing someone with me. Her name’s Alina. Make sure everything is clean. And let everyone know I don’t want any running mouths today.” “Understood,” she said. I hung up. When we got to the building, I parked in front. One of the guards opened the door for Alina. She stepped out slowly, eyes scanning the place. I knew she was already judging everything. We walked in together. The lobby went quiet. No one said anything, just watched. Good. They knew better. Lilith was waiting near the front. Tall. Dark hair. Smart eyes. Always on time. “Ms. Rivera,” Nina said with a polite smile. Alina looked her up and down. “Hi.” “This is Lilith,” I told her. “My secretary.”
