AVA Like any other day, my alarm clock decides to become my morning enemy, screeching in my head as if we were in a life-or-death situation. Something must truly be wrong with my head because I can't bear it. The loud noise penetrates like a burning needle in my brain, scolding me and causing tormenting headaches. I toss the alarm clock, hearing it crash against the floor, but the impact is not in my favour. I cringe at the persistent headache and pull the covers over my head. Ring... Okay, just go away. That annoying thing doesn't know how to shut up and die. How can it have such a long lifespan? If I were to calculate the number of times I've thrown that alarm clock against the wall, I'm sure even a human being would have been broken. But all you'll find on that clock are scratches.
