Someone was holding my hand when I woke up. They were talking, softly, but I couldn't make out the words. They were crying, too. I didn't like that. I didn't want to make anyone cry. Especially not someone who cared enough about me to sit at my beside. Why was I in bed, though? I had work to do. There was always work to do and I could tell I'd slept far too late. I tried to sit up, but someone had gone and replaced all my bones with jelly. I flopped back against a pillow too soft to be the one in my own room. It smelled strange, too. Antiseptic.
