"Vera?" Vera dragged her eyes from her martini and turned them to her newly pregnant sister beside her.
"Yeah?" She blinked, pinching her eyes. "Sorry...you were saying?"
"What's wrong?" Amber asked softly, sipping at her colorful mocktail.
Once they were done with her wedding gown, Vera took Amber out on a shopping spree and then to dinner as a part of her bachelorette. And once they were done with that, they clambered into a club, not those crazy noisy ones, because the noise in her head was enough to last her a lifetime, to grab quick drinks before they head back home. Since Amber can't drink now, she ordered some sort of mocktail, while Vera knew as much as alcohol led to s**t last night, she really badly needed one.
