My entire body froze as I took a small peek into the oval-shaped field of the dome where the swordplay competition would be held. Nervously, I gulped behind the heavy curtain and observed.
The audience, which we were seated in the upper section, was excitedly making noise and listening to Tyron DeQuia deliver his opening speech in the middle of a small stage that was placed in one corner of that massive building.
The Alphas and Lunas sat in the VIP seats. The performers, swordsmen, and judges were all seated around the field. Accordingly, in preparation for the competition, a thick rubber mat carpeted the well-trimmed grass in the center of the close-roof dome.
Everyone was anticipating and in extreme elation for the main event, which made me feel even more uneasy. Heavin
