I made sure I left the palace early in the morning before Elik looked for me. I wished to get back before lunch to prepare for the wedding. Elik said, our wedding would take place at the chapel inside the palace with only his family and mine--to witness our union. Then at some later date, a grand wedding would be arranged.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind having just this simple wedding. It was enough for me that Elik loved me this much to risk even his relationship with his board. I didn’t wish for a more grandiose celebration because to be married to him was another of my dreams becoming true.
