DEVLIN
As an experienced businessman I’ve dealt with a lot of people, some of them-- more experienced and older than me but my competitor’s experience and age, never infuriated or discouraged me. Business was business, whoever negotiated and offered best– at the end– takes the pot of gold.
I played fair, even if people around me did not.
But–in personal affairs, nobody was allowed to mess with me. I didn’t fancy being played around. I could play dirty exhausting them to the fullest.
Staring at the screen intently, I smiled in a contemptuous way. This fool stood in front of me yesterday as if he didn’t do me any harm, He stood before me so innocent, so guilt-free. But inwardly, he might be laughing at me.
