Chapter 17

Titus tries to remember the place where they at but he can't seem to remember a thing. Hindi siya pamilyar sa lugar. Napapaligiran sila ng mga wasak na gusali. Sa tingin niya rin ay walang mortal na napapadpad sa lugar.

"Tell me the truth. Where did you bring me, airhead?" Pang-aasar niya kay Kellan na ikinasimangot ng mukha ni Kellan.

"Seryoso ako. Kaka-asar mo sa akin, baka hindi na kita tulungan. Kawawa naman ang batang mortal na iyon."

Agad na nandilim ang paningin ni Titus dahil sa sinabi ni Kellan. Sa isang iglap, hawak na niya ito sa kuwelyo at aambang na sasapakin.

"Kapag tinuloy mo 'yan, hindi mo na maililigtas ang babaeng 'yon," nakangising litanya ni Kellan na ikinatigil ni Titus sa balak niyang gawin dito.

Napabuntong-hininga si Titus pagkatapos ay inayos ang magkabila niyang lapel at tumindig. Umiikli talaga ang pasensya niya sa damuho.

"Fine. Lead the way." Shithead. Titus added on his mind.

"Okay," Kellan said before opening the door in front of them.

Darkness welcomed both of them as they entered an underground tunnel. Lumapit si Kellan sa isang switch at hinila iyon pababa. Kahit paano ay nagkaroon ng liwanag galing sa maliliit na ilaw na nakadikit sa pader na may mga graffiti.

"And to answer your question earlier. We're on Russia. Near to the area where the Chernobyl disaster happened," Kellan stated that made him stopped.

"So anong ginagawa natin dito? You do know that the radiation is still here?" Titus asked confused.

Bumuntong-hininga si Kellan at medyo asar na humarap kay Titus. "We are grim reapers. We are death, Titus. You think, tatablan tayo?" ani Kellan at naglakad.

Napipilan si Titus kapagkuwan ay seryosong tumitig sa likod ni Kellan. "So what's in here that can help me fight Lamia."

Kellan glanced at him while walking. "You'll see. Just wait."

Mga ilang minuto silang tahimik na naglalakad. Hanggang sa may marinig siyang kakaibang tunog. Papalakas iyon nang papalakas habang patuloy silang naglalakad.

Kellan stopped in front of a door. Nakakunot-noong nakatingin lang si Titus kay Kellan habang nakakarinig ng malalakas na tunog galing sa loob ng pintong kinahaharap nila.

"Okay, you can just cover your ears if you don't like the music you're gonna hear," Kellan said before opening the door and seeing the place he has never been before.

Titus stood there dumbfounded because of what he's witnessing. The place was messy.

Nagkalat ang malalaking graffiti na halos sinakop na ang bawat pader. And the area was loud. Really loud because of the rock band who's currently at the stage.

There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface

Consuming, confusing

This lack of self control I fear is never ending

Kellan walked forward to the wild crowd. Titus followed him while watching the crowd losing themselves at the music the band was creating.

Mauusok ang lugar ngunit makulay din dahil sa mga dancing lights na tumatama sa kahit saang sulok ng lugar.

This lack of self control I fear is never ending

Titus looked at the band and his eyes darted to the vocalist who was singing. He keeps staring at the vocalist as he senses something about the vocalist.

Kellan leads him to sit on a creaky, old sofa while Kellan sitting on a damaged loveseat in front of him. May lumapit sa kanilang babae na may piercing sa ilong at labi habang punong-puno ng tribal tattoo ang katawan.

"So what can I get you, boys?" The woman said while chewing a piece of gum and sexily looking at Titus who is also busy watching the vocalist sing.

Umiling si Kellan bilang sagot sa babae. "Bud." Tawag sa kaniya ni Kellan matapos siyang sundutin nito. "What?" Nakakunot-noong tanong niya dito.

Discomfort, endlessly has pulled itself upon me

Distracting, reacting

"Do you want to try their drinks?" Nasa mukha ni Kellan na isinisigaw nito ang sinabi pero hindi niya ito marinig. "What? Should I get myself a chick?" Sigaw niyang tanong dito.

Against my will I stand beside my own reflection

It's haunting how I can't seem

"What did you say?" Nasa mukha ni Kellan ang pagkagulo at gulat dahil sa sinabi niya. "You want to eat my d**k?"

To find myself again

Titus heard what Kellan said this time. Naiiling siyang tumayo at binatukan ito. "Damn you! What do you think I am? A cocksucker?"

Nahihiyang napatingin siya sa babae na ngayon ay humahagikhik dahil sa kanilang dalawa kaya naman mabilis rin siyang bumalik sa sofa at umupo.

"f**k you, Titus," sigaw sa kaniya ni Kellan habang masamang itong nakatingin sa kaniya. "I said, do you want to try their drinks but you answered me that you wanted to eat my d**k, f**k!" Napahimas si Kellan sa kaniyang ulo.

"Stupid," aniya habang nakatingin kay Kellan kapagkuwan ay napatingin sa babaeng naghahantay pa rin sa kanilang dalawa habang natatawa.

"Get me something the customers usually order, please," Titus said and the woman nodded before turning her back on them.

"So what are waiting for?" Titus asked.

Kellan shook his head at him. "Wait till the song is done," ani Kellan na ikinabuntong-hininga niya na lang habang nag-aalala kay Phoebe na kasalukuyang hawak ni Lamia.

He feels like he's wasting his time while Phoebe is under Lamia's power.

Confusing, confusing what is real

"Okay, he is done. Let's wait for him until he's ready to face us," Kellan said as the crowd cheers for the awesome jamming.

Naghantay sila habang parehong nakatuon ang tingin sa bokalista na kasalukuyang pababa ng stage papasok sa isang room na ilang dipa lang ang layo sa stage.

Naghintay pa sila ng ilang minute hanggang sa inaayos ni Kellan ang suot nitong jacket at isinuot ang fedora.

Napataas ng kilay si Titus nang bigla na lang tumayo si Kellan sa kinauupuan nito. "Follow me."

Naiiling na sumunod si Titus kay Kellan. Hindi makapaniwalang kasama niya si Kellan sa mga oras na iyon.
