Mira woke up from the light pat from someone. When she opened her eyes, she saw Lucas staring down at her.
"The sun's up. Let's eat and leave this place," Lucas said. Mira nodded her head groggily and fixed herself before standing up. She stretched her body that was aching when she slept on the hard floor, and slipped the katana in her belt.
Lucas handed her the bowl. She sat on the chair and started eating.
"I have something to report," Alexi said. They all looked at him.
"What is it?" Lucas asked.
"The lurkers, they were all gone when I went out to inspect," Alexi said. "Like they all vanished in just a night," he added.
"They're still here. Maybe hiding in the dark corners of the building," Mira said. Alexi shook his head.
