When I got home, I found my mother in the lobby. What is it about today that they all decided to show up at the same time? All that’s missing is for my father to appear, and they’d be complete.
“Child,” she called out to me in a somewhat loud voice.
She immediately stood up to greet me. She was wearing a tight blouse and short shorts. She wasn’t satisfied with that and also wore heels. Among the two of us, I was the one embarrassed by her outfit. The employees were staring at her, and then their gaze shifted to me. Some looked shocked, while others laughed and shook their heads.
We are rarely seen together, and now it’s the first time we’ve been seen as mother and daughter in this lobby. When she got closer to me, she didn’t hug me. Instead, she held my arm and lightly tapped it. T
