All I could remember was the sight of Calix fidgeting at the lobby while we were waiting for our turn. His hand clasped tightly with mine, his palm cold and slightly sweaty, his jaw clenching as he watched couples went in and out of the OB/GYN’s office.
He was so nervous for some reason of which I don’t know why and didn’t ask anymore about it. Dahil sa hindi malamang rason ay kinakabahan din ako.
And now that I am finally here, lying on the bed while the OB/GYN strokes my abdomen with the transducer used for the ultrasound, this anxiousness grew bigger.
I wish Calix could finally come in. I wish he is here to hold my hand. Kinakabahan ako, hindi malinaw kung bakit, basta kinakabahan akong mapatingin sa monitor.
