Naabutan ko sila Mommy sa sala. Katabi niya si Daddy, umiinom ng kape habang nagbabasa ng diyaryo. The strong aroma of the black coffee lingers in my nose as I sashayed my way towards them.
Mommy was the first one who lifted her eyes to me. Bitbit ang isang pink duffel bag, nagpatuloy ako sa paglalakad hanggang sa makalapit sa kanila. I crouched a bit to plant a soft kiss on her cheek.
"Good morning, Mommy." I greeted and let out a soft smile.
She didn't respond right away. Sa halip ay bumaba ang tingin niya sa bag na hawak ko. I swallowed a bit at the way her sharp eyes penetrating into that bag. Lumipat ang tingin ko kay Daddy. He's not looking at me if he doesn't care about my presence.
"Aalis na po ako..." paalam ko sa kanila.
"Where is Manong Dencio?" Mommy aske
