"Hey, sleepyhead, wake up," I heard a familiar soft voice and a hand that was gently caressing my cheeks. I slowly opened my eyes and I was quickly greeted by the warmest eyes I ever laid my eyes on.
"Hi," I shyly replied. He helped me out of the car since my legs are still weak and my body is aching due to a stunt I pulled with the car during the chase. I was having a hard time walking.
But my eyes widen my feet suddenly lift from the ground. I quickly looked at Lucas who lifted me princess style while looking straight to where we're going. I smiled to myself and leaned my head against his chest, feeling the warmth of his body. I was scared that I wouldn't get the chance to hug him again. I praised all God for taking care of me and letting me pass that situation safely.
