Reedly clutched her chest. Hindi niya maintindihan ang sarili kung bakit gumuguhit ang kirot doon. Sinundan niya ng tingin si Red nang hawakan nito ang glass award nito. Red smiled so radiantly and Reedly felt like she was just a small shadow in Red’s tall form.
“Thank you po sa award na ito.” Red smiled at her two mothers. “I wouldn’t be here kung hindi po dahil sa dalawa kong magulang. Mommy and Momma. I hope you are proud of me. Secondly I am also proud of myself. Narating ko ito dahil sa pag sisikap ko. Sabi nga nila. If a normal human takes time to practice he will achieve greater things.”
Saglit na napatingin ito sa pwesto niya and Reedly held her breath. But Red quickly looked away.
Her gut sunk to her stomach.
