|Kairos| I gasped for breath as I reached the edge of the cliff, my chest rising and falling in ragged heaves. The salty wind roared through the vast, open space, whipping through my hair, but the icy sting did nothing to cool the fire burning inside me. My fingers curled into tight fists at my sides as I fought to steady the storm raging within me. Below, the waves crashed violently against the jagged rocks, the sea in constant battle with the land. Sharp formations jutted out, sculpted by years of relentless assault from the tides. One wrong step, one moment of carelessness, and anyone who fell from here would be swallowed whole—claimed by the merciless ocean, their body shattered before the waves dragged them into the abyss.
