"You!"

Nagkagulatan sina Maverick at Gabrielle nang magkabanggaan sila sa ikalawang pagkakataon.

"Are you following me?" angil ni Gabrielle nang mahimasmasan sabay palis ng braso ni Maverick na nakahawak pa sa kanyang beywang.

Maverick let out an arrogant laugh. "Miss, I'm going out now and you, you just arrived. Who do you think is following who? Hmmm. . ."

Bahagya pang inilapit ni Maverick ang mukha kaya napahakbang paatras si Gabrielle.

"Whatever! I don't want to see you again!" Naiiritang wika ni Gabrielle at saka pumiksi.

Maverick's brows knitted in annoyance. He doesn't like the tone that Gabrielle throws at him. Without a second thought, he made a step closer to her and grab her on her jaw forcibly closer to his face.

Pumalag si Yuan para sana depensahan si Gabrielle pero agad itong pinigilan ng mga tauhan ni Mave.

"Nobody talk to me the way you spoke to me, lady!"

"Let me go!"

Gabrielle was struggling to get out of Maverick's grasp but the latter pulled her closer, held her hand, and circled her in his arms.

"I don't make it easy for you. This way, you will know who you are talking at."

Pagkatapos magsalita ay kinabig ni Maverick sa batok ang dalaga at mabilis at marahas na inangkin ang mga labi nito.

"Let him go, Morelli!" nanggagalaiting sigaw ni Yuan. Hindi niya maatim na may mambastos sa kanyang pinsan, mismong sa kanyang harapan.

"Huff!"

Halos mapugto ang hininga ni Gabrielle nang paghiwalayin ni Maverick ang kanilang mga labi sabay tulak sa kanya sa harapan ni Yuan.

Agad dinaluhan ni Yuan si Gabrielle na nanlilisik ang mga matang nakatingin kay Maverick.

"See you around, lady!" Nakangising wika ni Maverick bago tumalikod pero nakadalawang hakbang pa lamang ito nang muling nilingon ang dalaga. "Hoping that you learned your lesson. Don't talk to me like that again, otherwise I will do something greater than the kiss I did moments ago."

"And you, you seems to know me. Tell your lady who I am so she will be aware next time when our paths will cross again." Seryoso at matiim na sabi ni Maverick kay Yuan.

Muli nitong pinasadahan ang kabuuan ng dalaga at kagat-labing tinitigan ng matagal ang dibdib ng dalaga na mabilis na hinigpitan ang pagkakahawak sa suot na leather jacket patakip sa dibdib.

"Bastos!"

"Not really!" Mabilis na tugon ni Maverick sabay talikod kasunod sina Brando. Naiwang parehong nagngingitngit ang magpinsan.

Nanlaki naman ang mata nang dalaga habang inalalayan ng pinsan dahil sa naintindihan siya ni Maverick.

"I heard, Filipino rin siya pero dito na lumaki kaya salitang banyaga ang ginagamit. He can speak different languages as well," sabi ni Yuan, assuming that Gabrielle was surprised why Maverick seems to understand her.

"Why do you know so much about that devil? Who is he?"

"Let's go! You will know about him inside."

"Can I go to the restroom first?"

"Sure! That way, then turn to the right."

Mabilis na tinungo ni Gabrielle ang restroom. Nagngingitngit pa rin siya dahil sa paghalik ni Maverick sa kanya. Gamit ang kamay ay pilit binubura ang bakas ng mga labi ng binata.

"Kadiri ka! Bastos! Walang-modo!"

Hindi niya mapigilang hindi magmura.

"Of all people, I tasted my first kiss from a stranger? Yuck!"

Pagdating sa restroom ay agad siyang naghugas at naghilamos na umaasang maalis niyon ang bakas ng mga halik ni Maverick sa kanya.

Pagkatapos maghilamos ay itinukod ang dalawang kamay sa lababo at tiningnan ang mukha sa salamin.

"I hate you whoever you are!" wika ni Gabrielle na puno ng galit ang mga mata. Kung mababasag lamang ang salamin sa uri ng tingin niya ay baka nabasag na niya ito.

"Gab, are you okay?"

Ilang sandali ay narinig niya ang boses ni Yuan na nanggaling sa labas.

"Gab?!"

Gabrielle heaves a deep sigh and fix herself before she decided to go out. She knows Yuan was worried about her.

"I'm coming!" she answered. She then picked up her small backpack and walked outside.

"Are you okay?" Agad na salubong ni Yuan sa kanya.

"I'm okay! Thanks."

"We will meet the Capo de Pollizia today and discuss to him about our assignment. Our agency will work with the polizia to gather evidences if there is any." Habang naglalakad ay ipinapaliwanag ni Yuan ang kanilang pakay sa estasyon ng pulisya.

Pagpasok sa opisina ng direktor ay agad namataan ni Gabrielle ang lalaking nasa singkwenta na ang edad na nakaupo kaharap ng mesang may mga nakasalansan na papeles sa ibabaw nito.

Zandro Alcaraz, Capo della Pollizia di Stato. Ang pangalan at posisyon na nakalagay sa wooden name plate sa harap ng mesa nito.

Pollizia di Stato is one of the police forces of Italy which is the main police force to maintain public security. Capo della Pollizia is the head of the department.

"Ispettore Sandoval, sei finalmente qui!" Agad na bungad ng opisyal nang pumasok sina Yuan at Gabrielle sa opisina nito.

"Siamo scusati per un po 'in ritardo, Capo," tugon ni Yuan na humihingi ng pasensiya sa pagiging huli nito sa eksaktong oras ng kanilang usapan.

"Nessun problema!" wika nitong balewala ang pagkahuli nilang magpinsan. "È lei dalle Filippine?" Baling nito kay Gabrielle.

"SÌ! Lei è!" wika ni Yuan bilang tugon sa tanong nito kung si Gabrielle na ba ang agent na nanggaling sa Pilipinas.

"Agent Gabrielle Sandoval from the Philippine International Crime Investigation unit, Sir!" pagpapakilala ni Gabrielle sa Italyanong opisyal.

She saluted to give honor and respect to the officer and the latter did the same in response.

"Have a seat!" The officer offered them to sit and took a small box from his drawer and slid it onto the table in front of them.

"Sandoval, the data recorded here are the informations about your assignment. Hopefully, you can find something that will prove this person as a notorious leader of a syndicate that we long suspected of drug and gun smuggling and trafficking, and prostitution," the officer gave brief information about their assignment.

"Do you have any idea who is he, Sir?" Gabrielle asked.

"Yes, we do! You just met him outside a few minutes ago." Maagap na tugon ng opisyal.

"The guy you bumped with." Sabad ni Yuan na tuning in sa kay Gabrielle.

"That arrogant guy?" Gabrielle said in surprise.

"Exactly, yes!"

"But—"

"He is too young?" the officer cut her off as he knows they were talking about Maverick.

Gabrielle nodded lightly assuming that the officer was talking about the same person she bumped into earlier.

"He was just twenty-six, fond of racing, a billionaire with a car manufacturing company, and good looks that lure women to his lair," pagsasalaysay pa ng opisyal tungkol kay Maverick.

"Oh, wow! Too young!"

"Too young and too dangerous!" Yuan said.

"He is Maverick Niccolo Morelli and that device will tell you the rest about him. Inspector Sandoval and his team will help you for the succeed of your assignment with that guy," wika pa ng opisyal.

"Understood, Sir!"

"In bocca al lupo, Agent Sandoval!"

"Grazie, Sir!"

After their short meeting with the officer, Yuan took Gabrielle to the place where she would stay in the state.

Meanwhile, Maverick arrived at his house. He immediately looked for his men, especially their new trainee.

"Where is that punk?" agad nitong tinanong sa tauhan na hinahanap ang taong gusto niyang isama sa kanilang operasyon.

"I'm here, boss!"
