He was a bit surprised, then shook his head. “N-no. That’s not true. You still love me. We could be together now. Forever.”
Pagak akong tumawa bago ngumisi nang sarkastiko. “There’s no such thing called forever.”
“I need you.” He sounded like pleading.
“I need someone, too. And sorry. It’s not already you, Van,” I said coldly before leaving him dumbfounded.
“Perfect! It’s your time to shine and don’t miss it, Jude! Be ready for the stage play tomorrow and kick some a*s!”
I smiled and gave my thumb’s up sign to our stage director.
“Pack up, guys! Take a rest for now and let’s meet again tomorrow. Be on time! I don’t want any one of you to be late on our big day! Do I make myself clear?!”
“Yes, Sir!”
