Narrator’s Point of View
Nakaupo sa kanyang swivel chair si Maeve at abala sa kanyang ginagawang trabaho. She’s trying her best to focus on her tasks dahil ayaw niyang biguin ang ama sa ibinigay nitong trabaho sa kanya. She has to prove herself that she can carry on her family’s business and legacy; that she’s long been ready to sit on her father’s throne and lead his empire.
She sacrificed years of her life just to be ready for this time. She sacrificed even her personal life for this—her heart.
Maya-maya pa ay narinig niya ang pagkatok ng kanyang sekretarya. “Good afternoon, ma’am. Atty. Winston Vergara is requesting an audience with you.”
Natigilan siya sa narinig at pilit na napangiti. “Let him in,” aniya at napabuga na lang ng hangin.
