“WHO IS SHE?” Audrey asked, looking at the picture. Pamilyar sa kaniya ang batang nasa larawan. It was pictures of two kids. But the boy in the picture was older than the girl. The little girl seemed to be only four to five years old.
“Hindi ba ikaw ‘yan?” tanong naman ni Emerson.
Umiling si Audrey. “Hindi ko alam. Wala akong maalala.”
Ngumiti si Emerson saka hinila ang asawa patayo mula sa swivel chair. Umupo siya sa swivel chair at pinaupo niya si Audrey sa kandungan niya.
“It’s you. We have already met before. When you were five, I met you at the orphanage. I was lost, and the orphanage took me in. Nauna kang umalis ng bahay-ampunan dahil may kumuha sa ‘yo. Since then, hindi na kita nakita. I took that photo with me.”
“Kailan mo pa nalaman?” tanong ni Audrey.
