Chapter Thirteen: Why Are You Here? “What are we going to talk about?” I asked him because I was really confused. “Nothing,” he replied. “What?” He chuckled, “Nothing, I just want you to ride in my car.” I took in a deep breath because I thought he was angry at me. What’s wrong with him? I know that he was lonely but it’s not an escape to fool a person! I rolled my eyes and look at the window. It was afternoon and I feel hungry because we skipped lunch. I am still wondering about what happened to the mechanic. Why will he suddenly hang himself? We all know that there was a reason why did he do that but why? I’m thinking there's someone killed him but the police haven’t trace any signs of killing so we all are wondering how it happened. “What are you thinking?” I turned my attention to Mr. Davids as he was driving his car. “Nothing, just wondering what happened to the mechanic,” I replied. “Don’t think about that yet, for now, just relax because I know we will go deeper  as we continue digging on this case.” I nodded. Yeah, we have to wait for the data on the mechanic’s cellphone before I think deeper. I hope this will be a way for us to solve this case. We all join in lunch, Jojo and Mitchell are there too. They are looking at me like they want to ask something but they don't want to ask either because I might get mad if they do. I know what is on their minds, really. “So Davids, what’s up with you?” Mitchell asked after we eat and both just getting the food we eat digest in our stomach. “Why did you ask?” Mitchell turned his head to Jojo. I knew it, Jojo told Mitchell to ask Mr. Davids. I saw Mitchell shrugged as if he doesn't know what to ask again. “W-well, we just notice that you are lively this past few days. You know, you were not like that when you came into the office on your first day that is why we are just wondering what happened.” I facepalm and felt embarrassed for them. God, forgive them, they don't know anything! Mr. Davids gulped the last drop of water he had on his glass. He chuckled and smiled at them. “Someone made me realize that I should move on.” My world suddenly stopped at what he answered. I turned my attention to the water on my own glass. I'm happy that I was the reason why he decided to move on. . . But no, of course, I'm not the reason why he was moving on. It was his decision to move because I know that there are lots of people who said that to him many times. Maybe, my words triggered his mind to do what he must. After work, I was exhausted and wanted to sleep right away. When I enter my apartment, I just threw my bag on the couch and went straight to the bedroom. I was about to fall asleep when my cell phone rang. Even with my eyes closed, I tried to open my eyes to see who texted me. From: Unknown Number Got yah! My eyes widened when I read that text. Who would have sent me such a message? This is not Mr. Davids because I had previously put that on my contact list. I write a reply. Me: Who’s this? From: Unknown Number Your future husband, just kidding. This is Thomas. I'm in front of your house, come on go out or maybe I can go outside *wink* My eyes widened at the text message I feel like I lost all my sleepiness because of that. I immediately got up and went to the window to see if Thomas was still there. To my surprise, I saw him standing there, waving his hand with all smiles. I quickly notice that it was him because he doesn't change even a bit! Well, he looks more matured but his gestures are all the same! I run out of my room and run into my door. When I opened it, he was there in front of the red gate of my apartment. The apartment where I was living is a three-floor apartment. The gate was right there in front of my unit and on the first floor. “Damn, you’re so beautiful `til now!” he praised me. My brows arched and remembered what I was only wearing. I cursed myself for not thinking before going out of my house. I was just wearing a sports b*a and a panty. Damn this! “What are you doing here?!” I shouted but in a low tone because someone might hear us. “I was just checking out if you really are living here,” he smiled. “Now that you know that I really live here, what is it to you now?”  He shrugged, “Can you open this door for me? Let’s talk inside your apartment.” I shook my head, “No!” “Ooh, playing hard to get. Well, that’s making me hard either.” I smirked at what he said. “You really didn’t change even a bit!” “I changed! My d**k’s got long now, you can check it out!” he laughed. “Damn you, p*****t!” but. . . “I missed you too!” But I don’t know why, somehow, I feel like I missed this side of him. “Go home now or else I’m gonna call the police!” I warned him. “Alright, call now, I’ll wait here until they come.” I scratched my head. I know this man, what he wants is what he gets. I looked up at my neighbor's window because they are starting to gossip. Gosh, I really don't like what is happening. “s**t, okay come inside!” His face lightened up and looks more excited now. “Yes!” “But don’t do any perverted things to me!” He chuckled, “Of course, I won’t. . . for now.”
