Winter slowly opens her eyes. She immediately knew she was in a different place. She can taste a slight salt in her tongue and the air feels humid. She realized she was in a bed. Her eyes landed on Carrie, na mahimbing na natutulog sa tabi niya. Carrie is holding her hand too.
Winter smiled sadly. Alam niya kung sino ang hinawakan nito ng kamay hanggang sa makatulog ito. It wasn’t her, but Blue. Kumirot ang puso niya. Why? Bakit ngayon lang sila nag kakilala ni Carrie? Bakit si Blue agad ang nakilala nito? Why can’t it be her? Bakit ngayon niya lang din na-realize ang feelings niya?
Umangat ang kamay niya para haplusin ang mukha nito. She carressed Carrie’s face slowly. She had the urge to kiss those lips again when her eyes travelled down, towards those inviting lips.
