I was preparing the table when the two entered the dining area. Axel was carrying Jarvis in his arms habang nagkukuwento ito ng kung ano ano sa ama.
"...I also met Tito Dave today."
Nag-angat ako ng tingin at naabutan ang pangungunot ng noo ni Axel sa pagtatanong.
"He's talking about Dave. Remember? I met him before sa law school."
Axel nodded, although, his forehead was still creasing a bit. Naalala kong pinagselosan pa niya noon si Dave. He did not like the idea of me having a guy friend that much. Especially that we were apart that time when I studied abroad.
"Nagkita lang kami kanina sa grocery." I added with a shrug.
Binaba niya si Jarvis sa isa sa mga dining chairs at naupo narin. I sat with them, and we started eating our dinner.
