Narrator’s Point of View
Tessel held the number card tightly as she listened to the deafening cheers of the crowd. The screams and chants are banging her ears and she can’t stand it. She hates the noise around her but she has no choice but to bear it.
Ever since she’s a child, she has always found comfort in silence and slumber. She wants to sleep and sleep as often as she can so people could not meddle with her life and could not approach her and make her talk.
And in the middle of the loud crowd, her eyes were set on a specific person; someone who sits comfortably in one of the golden thrones—the sixth holder of the twelve celestial seats.
