The six of us had made a firm decision to go to the hospital together after Master Clyde was transferred to the Alcaide Medical Center & Hospital following an accident that occurred during our vacation at La Prinsesa. Thankfully, his injuries from the car crash were not severe, but he still needed guidance on his journey to recovery.
Looking at the wreckage of Master Clyde's car, I could hardly believe he survived at all; it truly felt like a miraculous escape.
As we strolled along the hospital hallway, I turned to my twin, Monica.
"Will you be able to go to Paris this weekend?" and asked.
"Yes, Ark," she replied enthusiastically.
Curious, I then looked over at Sunny, who was standing next to Monica, and asked.
"Are you going with her now, Sunny?"
"Yeah! Now, we are officially engaged. I just can’t let her go on her own; what if someone else takes her away from me?" With a wide grin, he responded.
His arm was possessively draped around my twin's waist.
Monica raised an eyebrow at him, a playful smirk on her face.
"You thought they would take me that easily? Huh! As if you don’t know me anymore, sweetheart."
Sunny chuckled.
"Of course, I know you well, sweetheart. That’s why I love you." He laughed and playfully patted her head.
I couldn't help but smile as I watched them. Monica had a fierce spirit; she was not just a remarkable fighter but also one of the elite master fighters in our group. In fact, I often thought she was even better than me in combat, and I sensed that Sunny shared my respect for her skills—he seemed a bit apprehensive about making her angry.
Jacob, who had been quietly observing, chimed in.
"There’s another one under."
"As if you’re not?" Sunny teased him.
"Azami is under my Law." With an air of arrogance, Jacob replied.
Bobby couldn’t resist adding.
"But you are always his bottom."
Our laughter echoed in the hallway.
"Shut up," Jacob yelled, though his tone was more irritable than genuinely angry. His spirit was light, even amidst the noise, and we all erupted into laughter.
Our playful banter had drawn some curious stares from people in the hospital, but we hardly paid them any mind. The guards were well aware of our presence as the founders of the hospital, so they simply let it slide.
"That's enough," I finally said, still chuckling as I tried to bring an end to the light-hearted chaos.
In that moment, I turned to look back at my friends, but I failed to notice a man rushing out of the hospital. He collided with me, startling both of us.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to," he exclaimed, bowing slightly in apology. I struggled to see his face clearly amidst the confusion.
Feeling in a good mood, I opted to let it slide. He apologized once more, bowed again, and quickly walked away, leaving a sense of mystery in his wake.
"He’s also an AU student. And look at this," Monica said, her eyes brightening as she bent down to pick something up off the ground. "He dropped his name tag!" she continued, reading aloud, "Leonel Sebastian. Bachelor of Computer Engineering."
"I will keep it," I said, taking the nametag from her. "Let’s go." With a wave to my friends, we resumed our journey to Master Clyde's private room.
....
"Can you check this for me, if there is a Sebastian admitted here?" I asked, my voice tentative yet urgent, as I stepped into the information room, the anticipation of sharing good food later with my friend.
"It's not allowed to give out patient information if you are not a relative, sir," the clerk on duty replied, her tone clipped and unyielding.
Frustration welled within me, and I gave him a serious look, my fist slamming down hard on the desk, the sound echoing like thunder in the silent room.
"You might want to lose your job," I spat angrily, the heated words escaping my lips before I could fully comprehend their weight.
I found myself questioning why I was so invested in uncovering the identity of the man I had bumped into earlier. I felt a strange compulsion, as if some unseen force was driving me to learn more. It was unsettling, yet I couldn’t shake the feeling.
The clerk's demeanor shifted, and with trembling hands, she began to search for the name I sought, her fingers flying across the keyboard, betraying her fear.
"There are many admitted patients with the last name Sebastian, sir Clark. I can’t be sure who you’re looking for," she stammered, her eyes darting up at me, brimming with apprehension.
"Look for the one with the guardian Leonel Sebastian," I instructed her again, my voice steadying as I felt the weight of my quest renewing its grip on my resolve.
“Yes, sir.”
She refocused her gaze on the computer monitor, her fingers dancing across the keyboard. After a moment, she informed me that the patient admitted to the room was named Martha Sebastian—Room 243, a semi-private space.
“Okay, then. Thanks,” I replied, gratitude slipping into my voice before I turned and left the reception area.
As I made my way out of the hospital, I was determined to satisfy our hunger before diving back into the room.
Returning with my purchases, Kelly’s voice cut through the air.
“What took you so long?”
“I just had to take care of something,” I answered curtly. “Come on, let’s eat first while we passing time,” I suggested, setting the bags of food down with a thud that echoed my impatience.
Kelly and the others gathered around, and I noticed Master Clyde approaching, supported by Zoey, who looked both worried and relieved to be there.
“Is your patient behaving, Zoey?” Sunny’s playful voice rang out as they joined us, injecting a moment of levity into the atmosphere.
“Not at all! He’s too stubborn,” Zoey shot back, with a hint of frustration intermingled with affection.
“Hehe! He just missed you, Zoey. You’re the one who’s been gone for four years,” Sunny teased, a grin spreading across her face.
“Don’t care about them anymore,” Master Clyde interjected, his tone laced with sarcasm, slicing through the light-hearted banter like a knife.
“Haha, it’s true, Master! So get ready, Zoey. You’ll be able to battle once Master is out of the hospital,” Sunny chimed in enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Zoey hesitated for a moment, a smile breaking across his face despite himself. Anyone who looked closely would see how he could easily be mistaken for a woman, especially now, as his cheeks flushed a deep red in response to Sunny's teasing words.
