I woke up with the ray of the sun reflecting on my face.
I shifted and turned my back on the window and slowly opened my eyes. Recalling last night’s events put my mind in turmoil once more. Just when I thought that I’m finally starting a happy life on my own with two of my most trusted friends, everything was ruined in one night, in the most unexpected way.
Just like now, I’ve been too worked up last night to even protest when Zeldoris silently carried me to my room after I broke down last night. All I knew was that I felt protected with his arms around me.
