                                                                                        Dominick “Who sent this, Mom?” I asked her, pointing at the basket filled with flowers and well wishes for my mother and stepfather. “Oh! Uh… I don’t know, sweetheart,” Mom answered, with confusion written on her face. She glanced at Uncle Julian whose eyes averted from mine to his laptop. Even though he was here, he was monitoring the company for a few hours to not stress him out. I was still assisting him in most things, balancing my studies and work.
