“Were you there the whole time?” he asked.
I nodded.
“So, you have heard the conversation I had with dad, haven't you?”
And once again, I nodded. I wanted to be honest and never wanted to deny it.
He sighed.
I bit my lower lip apologetically. “I’m sorry.”
He looked at me and stared into my eyes.
Truth was, I was awakened by the voices I was hearing outside the bedroom door.
I woke up and realized that I laid and slept unintentionally while Fabio took a shower. I was even surprised when I found myself comfortably lying in the bed with pillows around me, with my shoes removed, and with a blanket on my body.
