“It’s trust, loyalty and honesty.”
She let Corrine think about it for a while.
“Since you don’t know much about each other yet, you should start with being honest. All these things you think about, you should tell him. Ask him directly. That way, you would understand each other better. Don’t bother guessing what he might think. Get to the bottom of it and get the answer directly from him. If he can’t be honest with you, you should reconsider.”
Corrine raised an eyebrow.
“I’m just saying.” The queen shrugged. “You as well, be honest with him. I know you have a strong personality, but it’s okay to show him that you have doubts as well. That you have fears. That you don’t know everything about him. That you can’t trust him yet. That he should assure you.”
She let those things sink in.
