Martina I see him sit down and cover his face with both hands. I feel an emptiness in my stomach. His response makes me aware of his state, and I don't know what he's feeling. I can't imagine what it's like to be in his place, to have the person he thought was dead appear from one day to the next. "What will happen from now on?" I ask calmly, although my heart is pounding. I step closer to him. I see him ruffle his hair in desperation. "I don't know," he replies, lifting his face to look at me. With that answer, I know he is completely lost; his thoughts must be a tangle. All I know is that for me, his doubts mean he doesn't know what he feels for me.
