The next day came as normal as it was. Nicholas picked me up at home in the morning and brought me home after dinner. But Thursday came when he wasn’t able to come and I had to walk to my office.
“Mom, how do I hide?”
“Wear a hat and a trench coat.”
And I did.
I was able to walk out of the building and walk around the curb towards my office.
The day went well until it was time to go home. People discovered where I was working and reporters gathered at the entrance of my office building.
I called Mom and told her that I couldn’t go home for the night.
“Why, what happened?”
“The reporters discovered where I am working?”
“Isn’t Nicholas bringing you home?”
“No, he didn’t call or even message me.”
“Why don’t you?”
“I can’t. He may have changed his mind already.”
